Communal House Residential Organizing
In this Cooperative House I was brought in to organize their shared storage needs as well as to help come up with a better system for how to use the two shared bathrooms. They were on a budget, so I used a combination of used containers, bins and jars they had on hand, as well as some purchased supplies.
The Linen Closet contained their shared linens, vitamins, meds and first aid. Here, I created space for individual bins that could hold their personal effects. This way they could minimize the overwhelm of supplies in the actual bathrooms and they would each have their bathroom supplies easily accessible, regardless of which bathroom they were able to use.
The other areas I addressed were the Cleaning Supplies Closet, Food Pantry, and Walk-through Butler’s Pantry that they treated as their office and utilities supplies such as printer, batteries, light bulbs and tools.
